Chlormadinone Acetate

Chlormadinone acetate (abbreviated as CMA) is a progestin and antiandrogen. It is used as a hormonal contraceptive in combination with estrogen and in the treatment of gynecological disorders. It is also used in the treatment of prostate cancer in Japan. CMA is the acetate ester of chlormadinone, which, in contrast to CMA, was never marketed.
